Our unit of the month is “My Five Senses.” During this unit, we will talk about how our senses work together to help us learn about the world around us.
On our first neighborhood walk children are using their five senses to describe what they see in the environment. Below are pictures of children collecting leaves and using their senses to describe objects in nature. While they were engaged in this activity questions were asked such as : “What do you notice? Where do you think leaves come from? What do you notice about the size and shape of leaves? Are they the same or different?”
Children, children what do you see? 
Leaves, leaves everywhere!
