Families were invited to our first annual May Parent Teacher Showcase where we hosted a series of workshop which allowed parents and students to participate in hands on activities. Parents were able to engage with school staff and learned different ways to support their child’s learning.
In Gardening in the City workshop we did a planting activity. First we read a How-to book “Growing Tomatoes in Six Steps” and then we planted tomato seeds step by step. Afterwards children practiced their writing skills by drawing and writing their observations of their plant.
