Fall is here and our children are noticing how the leaves are starting to fall off of the trees when they go out to the outdoor play area every day. Our children started to bring questions into the classroom: Why leaves start falling in Autumn? What makes them fall? What colors will the leaves change into? With children’s interest in the season of Fall, we started to explore Autumn through project works and activities.
We started exploring the season by painting a picture of Fall using all Fall colors: orange, yellow, red, and brown.
Next, we added loose part materials such as pom pom, pipe cleaners, construction paper, bottle caps, and yarn on our painting.

Our children practiced tracing the word Autumn in Chinese with Play dough.
