Our Third Week of School

Hello families! This week, the children celebrated the beginning of the fall season and the month of October by decorating our classroom with leaves, bringing in pumpkins for our show & tell and picking vegetables from our school garden.

The children have been learning about the world around them while experimenting with different materials, leading to fantastic creations such as puppets, cardboard computers and miniature books!

This week was also our first with homework. The children have all been given book baggies filled with books for them to read at both home and school. Please remind your children that they must bring these book baggies everyday, so that we may practice our reading in class. We will change these books out every week so that children have a fresh set to to read. Children must also bring their red homework folder to school every day, in case of any handouts that must go home.
All homework will now be done on Seesaw, an online homework website, which many of you are familiar with from last year. Please sign in with your child’s DOE email account and the password is their student ID number. Our class code is XBQD TZLK. This information will also be on Google Classroom for your convenience.
Additionally, if you have not already done so, please fill out the walking trip permission slip on Operoo so that we may take educational trips around our neighborhood throughout the school year.

Thank you all for your support and have a great weekend!
