Week 4!

Hello K/1 family and friends! Today we reached the end of week 4, where does the time go!? Our scholars were so incredibly happy to be back in our classroom. They were all especially excited to engage in project time. Scholars took turns playing with blocks, play-doh, loose parts, and nature items. Some of our friends used blocks to build train tracks, while others used play-doh to create a menu filled with multi-cultural foods! Scholars also explored how to make leaf prints using paper, crayons, and of course… leaves! Meanwhile, some of our other scholars used loose parts/ recycled items to make collages of different shapes and patterns. In reading, we book shopped for the first time. Each scholar borrowed 5 books each from our library to keep in their book baggies. Please don’t forget that scholars can also read their assigned books on myON, we will be assigning them new books every week. In Writing, our scholars continued working on their small moment stories. They had so much fun yesterday emulating a craft move from one of our favorite authors, George McClements! Everyone have a safe and enjoyable weekend. There is no school on Monday, we will see everyone again on Tuesday. As always, if you have any questions or need any assistance, please send me a message on Class Dojo.
