This week the students published their writing and to celebrate, they each shared their story. They wrote a narrative story about a small moment and did a great job doing it!
David M. wrote a story about going to the park. 
Miksa wrote a story about his day at school. 
David O. wrote about his first day at P.S. 896. 
Mercedes wrote a story about her doctors visit. 
Bruce wrote about lunch time. 
Steve wrote about the things he like. 
Our book of the month is “Happy-Sad Today” and it is about having different feelings at the same time. Sometimes we can feel sad and happy at the same time. For example, our main character was sad about leaving her friends but also happy to see her mom. During project time we created different things to help express what we are feeling.
We had a Readers Celebration to recognize how well our students have been reading! Each of the student took turns reading their book and we are so happy with their progress!
Our students had so much fun celebrating one another and already looking forward to more celebrations!
