This week, each grade level between kindergarten and third grade made masks. Kindergarten and some kinder-first grade bridge classes are studying insects and made wonderful insect face masks.
Skills involved in creating these works include: scissor safety, cutting simple shapes, gluing effectively, and arranging and layering shapes.
Second and third graders looked at masks from all over the world before designing their own. They learned about symmetry and using the face as an opportunity for decorations.
