Class 201-Week of Oct 25 to 29, 2021

Happy Halloween! In the past weeks, while class 201 were investigating the life cycle of leaves in Autumn, they learned that trees lose a lot of water.  When winter arrives, the trees are no longer able to get enough water to replace it. We know that leaves fall off trees to survive the winter and grow new leaves in the spring. This week, we extended our knowledge to explored some seasonal fruits and vegetables, most importantly, pumpkins!

Painting with Shaving Cream

Our children love sensory play, especially when it includes mixing colors. This week, we explored mixing the color paint on shaving cream. It is a textural wonderland that changed and transformed in our hands. Shaving cream is a sensory experience that also can promote language development in young children.
