Leaves, Leaves Everywhere

Leaves, leaves everywhere! In Pre-K we have been going on neighborhood walks and during these walks we noticed leaves are falling from trees. Students collected leaves and nature objects to bring back into the classroom to explore.

For this inquiry students are trying to figure out these questions: 1) Why do leaves change color? 2) Why do they leaves fall? 3) Are all leaves the same?

In our centers students is hard at work exploring leaves and nature objects we collected using their five senses. Students are talking about what they noticed with their sense of sight, and the textures they feel with their sense of touch.
