We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! It’s been a great school year so far and we are so thankful for each and everyone of our students. Last week we had a Thanksgiving celebration where we all came together and ate delicious food that families brought to share with the school.
We may have started a new month but this week, we celebrated the end of our writing and reading units. The students wrote so many opinion pieces that it was hard for them to choose! They did such a great job and are now experts at convincing their readers! For our reading unit, the students read non-fiction books. They learned how to use keywords and features such as Fact Boxes to help them understand what they are reading. The students were very excited to know more about their favorite topics such as dinosaurs and animals. Below are some pictures from our Math period and Project time!
