In writing, the first graders are creating how-to books. They have to think of an idea, plan their story, sketch across pages and write. Students had the opportunity to come up with some how-to ideas and participate making sure they knows each step. For example: how to draw a pumpkin, how to make a sandwich and how to prepare your cereal.
In kindergarten students celebrated their show and tell wiring unit. Students shared out a special place they like to go to. For example: the zoo, the park and their home. Students labeled their illustrations and also created pattern sentences with the help of their snap words.
