This week has been filled with new discoveries and explorations as the children have begun to research their new project time theme of pumpkins! Fueled by a desire to cut open a pumpkin that I have on my desk, the children have been eagerly learning all they can about pumpkins.
The children also learned about the revolutionary civil rights activist, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., in honor of MLK Jr day on Monday. The children learned all about treating others fairly, regardless of how they look, and even watched the historic “I have a dream” speech, creating their own dreams that they want to see come true.
