Class 201- Week of Jan 24 to 28, 2022

Lunar New Year is by the door, our children were so excited about the approaching of the holiday. Next Tuesday, February 1, marks the Chinese New Year 2022. 2022’s Lunar New Year brings the Year of the Tiger, third in the 12-animal Chinese zodiac cycle. Tigers were born in 2010, 1998, 1986, 1974, 1962, 1950, and so on. We had a great discussion about the origin and custom of the Lunar New Year as well as our zodiac sign.

After learning the tradition of the Lunar New Year, our children were invited to celebrate the holiday by creating Tiger red envelopes, dragons, and Chinese New Year lanterns which are symbols that best represent the Lunar New Year. Next week, we will learn more about the Lunar New Year traditions and how people celebrate the holiday differently across the country.

Have a wonderful weekend and please complete the activity posted on SeeSaw.
