Happy Lunar New Year!

Starting from last week, our friends are continuing to learn about Lunar New Year. We learn about how people from the Asian and Asian American communities celebrate Lunar New Year in different ways but share many similarities. In our Chinese dual-language classes, we have families from Mainland China, Vietnam, and Taiwan. Our friends share customs and traditions are practiced during Lunar New Year in their families. For instance, visiting relatives’ houses on the first day of the new year, exchanging New Year’s greetings, giving red envelopes to children and elderly people, and ancestor worship.
