This week we talked about what we noticed about nature in the spring season. We talked about how plants and flowers are growing.
We did a lima bean seed experiment and placed it in a ziploc bag with a wet paper towel. Students also made a plant journal and drew their observations. We will continue to make observations of our lima bean and see what changes will occur over time.
Students also compared seeds and we discovered that seeds can be different sizes, shapes and colors. We also discussed how seeds can be found in fruits and vegtables. We cut open apples, kiwis and lemons to observe what’s inside.
After reading the story Lola Plants a Garden students created their own version of a flower garden using magic nuudles.
