This $30 internet discount applies for families whose children attend NYC DOE schools.
Through the FCC’s Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), eligible individuals or households can receive a $30 per month discount towards their internet or wireless bill from a variety of internet service providers and cell phone carriers. The Brooklyn Public Library currently has a team of digital navigators who can help families with the benefit application process, answer questions about internet service providers in the neighborhood, and explain how to use the benefit to get free or low-cost internet.
This $30 internet discount applies for families whose children attend NYC DOE schools. To apply for the benefit, families must prove their child’s attendance at an NYC public school, with a completed ACP School Form Letter signed by their school principal.
