Class 303 has accomplished so much this past month. In math, they learned how to make sense of and draw picture graphs and bar graphs, using drawings and tape diagrams to think about equal-size groups and learn about multiplication, as well as connecting the equal-group representations to arrays. We are starting our new math unit by describing and measuring areas of a figure. They have been using square tiles to help find the area and understand the meaning of area. For the past three weeks, we have been studying about Bolivia for Hispanic Heritage month. 303 has done an amazing job researching and diving into the culture. The students celebrated Hispanic Heritage month with a great performance of the song “Un Poco Loco”. Starting this month on Fridays, the class goes to the new school library for our read-aloud period. We are so proud of them! We cannot wait to see them grow more in the upcoming months.
