This week the children celebrated the approaching holiday of Thanksgiving by engaging in a school-wide Thanksgiving Feast event! We shared meals and stories as we spent time together as a school community.
This week, the children were hard at work learning all about multisyllabic words, as well as how to add and subtract 100!
This week, the children participated in reading and writing celebrations in the classroom! For reading, the children chose their favorite books to introduce to their classmates as book recommendations. For writing, the children were invited to read their small moment stories aloud and got positive feedback from their peers.
This week the children celebrated the end of Hispanic Heritage Month by participating in a school wide food truck event. The children had a wonderful time trying foods from different Latin countries and listening to music! This week, our students have been hard at work learning all about measuring. We started the unit by using centimeter cubes and will eventually move on to rulers and yard sticks. One way to support students at home is to give them opportunities to measure real objects they see in their house.
