Hello Parents and Students!
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year at P.S. 896, School of Creativity and Innovation. We hope that you and your child had a wonderful summer vacation. Our names are Ms. Aubourg and Ms Legaspi, and we look forward to teaching your child in grade 1/2. We expect that this year will be a rewarding year for your child, and we know that you are excited about all of the new learning opportunities that are about to take place. Arrival and Dismissal Procedures- Regular School hours are from 8:30 AM – 2:50 PM. Children who will be joining us for breakfast are to report to school at 8:10 AM through the schoolyard. Please fill out health screening form prior to arrival. Students will be dismissed beginning at 2:50pm through the schoolyard (look for the green book icon).

Our class has been using Heggerty and Fundations to help with decoding words. It has been incredibly helpful for the students during Readers Workshop.
