🎃 October in First Grade!

What a wonderful month it’s been in first grade! 🍁 Our classroom has been full of learning, laughter, and creativity. Students have worked hard in every subject — showing curiosity, kindness, and excitement every day. We’re so proud of how much they’ve learned this fall!

🧮 Math Fun

Our first graders have been busy solving math story problems this month! We used pictures, numbers, and words to show our thinking. We’re learning how to choose the right math operation and explain our work in different ways. Our little mathematicians are doing an amazing job!

✏️ Writing Wonders

In writing, we’ve been working on small moment stories — special memories that happened to us. Students are adding details, speech bubbles, and clues about where and when their stories take place. Their stories are full of imagination and heart!

📚 Reading Adventures

During reading workshop, we’ve been learning about characters, settings, and text features. We’ve also been discovering new vocabulary words and practicing how to talk about what we read. Our readers are growing stronger every day!

👻 Halloween Fun!

October ended with our amazing Halloween parade! Everyone looked spooktacular in their costumes — we saw superheroes, princesses, animals, and even a few spooky creatures! Thank you to our families for helping make the day so special. It was the perfect way to end a month full of learning, laughter, and fun!
