December PE Update (3K–2nd Grade)

Winter Movement, Balance & Motor Skill Mastery

In December, students built on the skills from earlier in the year and began practicing more targeted object-control skills like rolling, tossing, catching, and kicking. These were introduced through winter-themed stations, foam-ball throwing activities, and festive movement games such as “Snowball Pathways” and “Reindeer Run.”

We also focused on:

  • Balance and core strength
  • Eye-hand coordination
  • Following directional cues
  • Safe movement on different types of equipment

Our young athletes wrapped up the calendar year showing impressive growth. Their confidence, cooperation, and love for movement shine brighter each week. December reinforced the idea that being active is fun—and that every student can succeed in PE.
