December Snapshot

As we head into December, our classroom is filled with excitement, learning, and preparation for what’s ahead. Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to and what’s coming next!

❄️ Winter Show

We were so excited to share our Winter Show with all the families! Students did a great job practicing our song and dance and they were very eager to showcase all their hard work. This was a wonderful opportunity for them to build confidence and celebrate the season together.

🏗️ Wrapping Up Our Building Unit

This month, we concluded our Building Unit. Students explored how buildings are designed and constructed, learned about the roles of builders and architects, and experimented with creating structures using a variety of materials. They practiced problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity while building and testing their ideas throughout our centers.

🏘️ Buildings in Our Neighborhood

As part of our learning, we’ve been discovering different types of buildings found in our neighborhood. Students discussed homes, schools, stores, libraries, and other community buildings, focusing on their purposes and unique features. This helped them make meaningful connections between classroom learning and the world around them. Students were all given the opportunity to create their own building and use features that we have learned in class. Many even decided to add snow!

🚗 Getting Ready for Our Next Unit: Wheels

Looking ahead, we are getting ready to begin our next unit on Wheels! Students will explore how wheels move, what uses wheels have in everyday life, and how they help people work and travel. This hands-on unit will include experiments, building activities, and plenty of opportunities for curiosity and exploration.

❄️ Thank You

Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. We wish you and your family a warm, joyful December and look forward to an exciting start to our new unit and the new year!
