February: A Month of Respect, Culture, and Learning

February has been a busy and exciting month in our classroom! We celebrated Black History Month, practiced Respect for All, and learned about the Lunar New Year.

During Black History Month, students explored important historical figures and learned about their contributions. Through Respect for All activities, we discussed kindness, fairness, and how everyone deserves to feel valued and included. We were also honored to have a guest speaker representing this important celebration, who shared meaningful experiences and helped deepen our understanding.

We also learned about Lunar New Year traditions celebrated around the world. Students discovered how different cultures celebrate and why these traditions are important to families and communities.

One of the highlights of the month was our field trip to watch Zootopia 2. Through the movie, students learned about inclusion, understanding differences, and working together. It was a fun and meaningful experience that connected perfectly to the spirit of February.
