Students kicked off our Bread Unit and have been having a wonderful time exploring and tasting many different types of bread. Throughout the unit, students are learning about how bread is made, the ingredients used, and how different cultures enjoy bread in their own unique ways. Tasting and discussing the breads has been a fun and engaging experience for everyone!
We have also been learning about Lunar New Year, Respect for All, and Black History, helping students build an understanding of different cultures, traditions, and the importance of kindness and inclusion in our community.
During February, students participated in our Lunar New Year performance. They did a fantastic job performing and were very excited to share a special song alongside the Pre-K class. It was a joyful celebration and the students were proud to show what they had been practicing.
Students transitioned very well back into school after winter break and quickly returned to our classroom routines. They also enjoyed celebrating a traditional Snow Day, which was a fun and memorable experience for everyone.
During March, we will continue exploring our Bread Unit and learning even more about breads from around the world. We are also hoping for warmer days ahead so we can spend more time outside enjoying fresh air and outdoor play during playtime.
