K014 Kindergarten News: A Season of Celebration, Learning, and Kindness! 🎉📚
February and March have been exciting and meaningful months in Class K014! Our kindergarten students have been busy learning, celebrating important traditions, and building a strong classroom community.
One of the biggest milestones we celebrated was the 100th Day of School! Students were thrilled to recognize how much they have learned and grown since the beginning of the year. We counted, created, and participated in fun activities centered around the number 100. It was a wonderful way for students to see how far they have come in their learning journey.
Our class also had the special opportunity to participate in a Lunar New Year show to celebrate Chinese New Year. Leading up to the performance, students explored the meaning behind this important holiday. In kindergarten, we learned about the Chinese zodiac signs and discussed what each animal represents. Students enjoyed discovering their zodiac animals and learning about the traditions that families celebrate during Lunar New Year.
Another exciting experience was our visit to the school book fair. Students were enthusiastic about exploring new books and developing their love for reading. It was wonderful to see them excited about choosing stories to take home and share with their families.
During Respect for All Month, our class focused on an important social–emotional lesson about kindness. Through discussions and activities, students learned how unkind words can hurt someone’s heart and how our words and actions can make others feel happy, safe, and respected. We practiced using kind language and talked about ways we can be good friends to one another.
These months have been filled with learning, celebration, and meaningful conversations that help our students grow not only academically but also socially and emotionally. We are so proud of the curiosity, kindness, and enthusiasm our K014 students show every day!
