September was a wonderful start to the school year in our class! This month was all about getting to know one another, building our classroom community, learning new routines, and discovering that learning can be both meaningful and fun. We are so proud of the many ways our students have already begun to grow!
🔎 Intellectual Curiosity
Our classroom has been filled with questions, conversations, and exploration! Students have been encouraged to ask questions, share their ideas, listen closely, and explore new possibilities. We have been building a classroom where students feel comfortable being curious, wondering, and discovering something new each day.
🤝 Collaboration
September gave us many opportunities to work together and learn from one another. Students practiced sharing ideas, taking turns, helping classmates, and working toward common goals. We are creating a classroom community where everyone’s ideas and contributions matter!
❤️ Integrity
As we established our classroom routines and expectations, students practiced showing respect, kindness, honesty, and responsibility. We talked about how our choices and actions affect the people around us and how we can help create a positive classroom for everyone.
😊 Joy
Our classroom has also been full of JOY! From smiles and laughter to exciting learning experiences and new friendships, students have shown us that learning is something to celebrate. We have enjoyed cheering each other on and celebrating both big and small accomplishments.
🇪🇸 ¡Bienvenidos a España!
To kick off Hispanic Heritage Month, our class chose to explore the beautiful country of Spain! Students began learning about Spain’s culture, traditions, landmarks, food, music, art, and language.
We are excited to become little explorers as we discover more about Spain and the many unique things that make the country special. Through books, discussions, hands-on activities, and creative projects, students will have opportunities to ask questions, share what they discover, and learn from one another.
Our study of Spain is a wonderful way to bring our school values to life. We are practicing Intellectual Curiosity as we explore a new culture, Collaboration as we learn together, Integrity as we show respect for different cultures and traditions, and Joy as we celebrate learning!
